Anawim Center regularly seeks advice from elders and spiritual advisors in Chicago and around the country.
A safe place for your children
Your children are welcome to Anawim. We offer a Values program using both Christian and Traditional teachings for children from 7 to 12 years age. We hope to help them face the challenges of urban Indian life.
A place to work for justice for all Indians
Anawim Center offers a place to work fro religious freedom, treaty rights, and social justice. Anawim provides education to non-Indian groups about Indian issues and cross-culture sensitivity.
Anawim sponsors a yearly Pre-Columbus Day Prayer Vigil for us to honor the Indian Nations here before Columbus.
A place to be Indian with other Indians
Be with other Indians who can honor your path, help you in your struggles, and especially appreciate your humor.
A place to seek health and wholeness
Anawim helps to sponsor the visits of Indian certified counselors. We provide a space for an Indian AA group.
A place to explore your spirituality
Over the 26 years, we have witnessed miracles at the Anawim Center. The purpose of Anawim Center is to be a place of prayer for all Indian people.
